1. Who we are

This website (magnus.engineer) is operated by Magnus Hansen, an individual based in Denmark, acting as data controller for the personal data described in this policy. You can reach me at [email protected] for any question about this policy or your data.

2. What data is collected

Contact form

If you use the contact form, I collect the name, email address, and message you submit. This data is sent by email (via Resend, see Section 4) and is used only to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: your consent (given by ticking the consent box before submitting) and my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries addressed to me.

3. Cookies and local storage

The site only uses browser local storage for essential functionality (remembering your cookie notice choice and light/dark theme). No analytics or tracking is used. Full details, including names, purpose, and retention period, are in the Cookie Policy.

4. Who your data is shared with

Data is only shared with service providers (processors) needed to run the site, all of which are contractually bound to process data only on my instructions:

• Resend (transactional email delivery for the contact form) - a US-based provider. Where contact form data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, this relies on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses as the transfer safeguard.

Data is never sold or used for advertising purposes.

5. How long data is kept

• Contact form messages: kept only as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted.
• Your cookie consent choice: kept until you change or clear it.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access the personal data held about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Restrict or object to certain processing
• Request a portable copy of your data
• Withdraw consent at any time (this does not affect processing already carried out) by emailing me
• Lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority - in Denmark, the Datatilsynet

7. Security

Reasonable technical measures (encrypted transport via HTTPS, minimal data collection, reputable processors) are used to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, so absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

This website is not directed at children, and no personal data is knowingly collected from children.

This policy may be updated occasionally to reflect changes to the site or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date above reflects the latest revision.
